HortiLogistica Africa Meets Arusha Regional Commissioner Amos Makala

The HortiLogistica Africa team had the opportunity to meet with Amos Makala, Regional Commissioner of Arusha, to discuss the upcoming exhibition at Ngurdoto Mountain Lodge this 8–10 November and the role it is set to play in the region's economy.

Growing the Economy of Arusha and Tanzania

Discussions centred on how HortiLogistica Africa 2026 will help grow the economy of Arusha and Tanzania as a whole — from the trade, investment and jobs the exhibition brings directly, to the wider economic activity it generates across the region during the three days of the event and beyond.

Benefits Beyond the Industry

The conversation also covered the benefits the exhibition brings to people both inside and outside the horticulture industry, from local businesses and service providers to the broader Arusha community set to welcome exhibitors and visitors from across the world this November.

Strong Government Backing

The meeting underlined the continued support of local government for HortiLogistica Africa 2026, adding to the backing already shown at the highest levels of national government since the event's launch in Dodoma earlier this year.
