Tanzania officially launched HortiLogistica Africa 2026 in Dodoma, shattering fundraising targets by raising 2.7 billion Tzs in an unprecedented vote of confidence for the agricultural sector.
The official launch of HortiLogistica Africa 2026 held in Dodoma exceeded all expectations, with the event raising a remarkable 2.7 billion Tanzanian Shillings from sponsors and partners — far surpassing initial targets and signalling the enormous appetite among Tanzanian businesses and institutions to support the inaugural edition of the continent's most ambitious horticultural trade fair.
The launch ceremony, attended by senior government officials, private sector leaders, and horticulture industry representatives from across East Africa, saw pledges pour in from agri-businesses, banks, logistics firms, and development institutions. The total raised represents one of the largest private-sector mobilisations ever recorded for a single trade event in Tanzania's history.
Senior representatives from the President's Office, Planning and Investment (PoPI) and the Ministry of Agriculture reaffirmed the government's commitment to making HortiLogistica Africa a permanent fixture on the continental trade calendar. Officials cited the event as a direct vehicle for achieving Tanzania's ambition to double horticultural export revenue by 2030.
With funding secured well ahead of the November 8–10 event dates, the organising team is now focused on delivering a world-class experience at Ngurdoto Mountain Lodge in Arusha. Exhibition stand bookings are open, and early indications point to demand from over 30 countries. Visitors and exhibitors can register at the official event website.
