The HortiLogistica Africa team joined avocado growers, exporters and buyers at a major industry conference and exhibition in Nairobi, using the platform to promote the November trade fair and deepen ties across the East African avocado value chain.
On 27 May 2026, the HortiLogistica Africa team travelled to Nairobi, Kenya, to take part in one of the region's leading avocado industry gatherings — a conference and exhibition bringing together growers, exporters, logistics providers and international buyers from across East Africa and beyond.
The team used the occasion to introduce HortiLogistica Africa 2026 to a highly relevant audience, sharing details of the November exhibition at Ngurdoto Mountain Lodge and the opportunities it opens for avocado producers and the wider horticulture supply chain. Interest was strong, with several exporters expressing intent to visit Arusha.
Kenya and Tanzania together form the backbone of East Africa's fast-growing avocado export sector, and their harvest windows increasingly complement one another. Conversations in Nairobi reinforced a central message of HortiLogistica Africa: that regional collaboration, not competition, is the key to securing year-round supply for global markets.
